Seems like an oxymoron, right? Well, it’s no secret that we love and need our devices to stay in touch with people; but owning a cycle studio has opened my eyes to what real connections happen when we are face to face instead of device to device. Unplugging is more than just putting down your phone for an hour, it’s about being a part of something and connecting with your community.
In today’s world, there are so many ways we can get exercise. And if you are lucky enough to have a fitness studio where you walk in and instantly feel at home with the group then you have found the secret to good health! You are part of a fitness community. And you will find that your fitness community is more than just people you work out with. They are your support, your motivators, your referrals for doctors and dentists, your recipe sharers, your good news celebrators, your spirit lifters, your energy feeders and your friends!
As human beings, we all emit energy. I have witnessed it every time a person walks into the studio. They bring their own wonderful energy into the room which then feeds into someone else’s energy, and so on and so on. Then you add in exercise and the energy is bursting out the door. And the best part is, we bring all that happy energy into the world around us.
So, rather than staying at home and plugging in to exercise, go out and find your fitness community! Your connection will exercise your heart and your soul!
